This application can be used on terminals running Android OS 2.2 or later, excluding tablet terminals.
The application can be moved to the SD card. (ver 1.3.76)
Follow the instructions below to move the application to the SD card.
On the Android device, select “Settings” → “Applications” → “Manage applications” → “KENWOOD Music Control for Android” and then select “Move to SD card”.
* The procedure or the name may differ. Refer the instruction manual of your device for the details.
* When the application is moved to the SD card, the widgets can not be used.
* When the Android device is connected with car audio via a USB cable, the application can not be started and even the screen that shows “Now connecting” is not displayed.

Select "Preference" → "Music player selection" → "Built-in music player".
When the application is installed in the SD card, you can not use the widgets.
When you use the widgets move the application to the internal memory of the Android device and make the widgets setting again.
It depends on the specification of the smartphone. Volume can also be adjusted by the unit.
(1) Select "Preference" and uncheck "Background analysis".
(2) Press and hold the name of the song you want to analyze, and then select "Analyze this song". Analysis will start.
(1) On the Android device, select "Settings" → "Applications" → "Manage applications" and then select "KENWOOD Music Control for Android" from the application list.
(2) Executing "Clear data" (memory item) will erase all analysis results.
Songs are not deleted.
They cannot be performed when the Android device is connected in the USB storage mode.
In the USB storage mode, this application cannot be used.
Select "Preference", and then uncheck "Background analysis".
Select "Preference", and then uncheck "Auto output".
Only the songs satisfying the following conditions can be analyzed:
- Sampling frequency: 44.1 kHz (* Sampling frequency of 32kHz or 48kHz is converted to 44.1kHz to conduct the analysis.)
- Number of channels: 1channel or 2 channels
- Song length: 20 seconds or longer
- Genre: Song belonging to music genre among Grancenote CDDB and ID3 genres
A song which does not meet the above conditions cannot be analyzed.
The Android device must be connected to the car audio system using a USB cable.
At this time, the car audio system must be able to recognize the Android device as an MSC (mass storage) device.
To see if your Android device can be used as an MSC (mass storage), refer to the Instruction Manual that comes with your Android device or access the website of the manufacturer.
Upgrade the KENWOOD Music Control application to the latest version.
Set the USB storage mode to On.
For how to connect an Android device using a USB cable, refer to the instruction manual that comes with the Android device.
Applications on the SD card cannot be used.
To use the device with it connected to the car audio system after adding or deleting a song, you need to perform output of information for car audio system again.
There are the following two methods for database output.
(1) Select "Preference", and then check "Auto output".
→ If you check "Auto output" before adding, deleting, or analyzing a song, information will be output automatically after completion of addition, deletion, or analysis of a song.
(2)Select "Preference", and then check "Output right now".
→ If you check "Output right now", the latest information will be output immediately after completion of addition, deletion, or analysis of a song.
Confirm the location where you stored the song.
When an SD card is inserted, only the songs stored in the SD card can be browsed and selected.
When an SD card is not inserted, only the songs stored in the build-in memory can be browsed and selected.
It is a Windows application for supporting creation of the database which is required to use an Android device with it connected to a car audio/navigation system. This application is created in the SD card only for the Android device that requires support in database creation.

When all video files in a category are deleted, that category is deleted, this category is automatically deleted and is not displayed in the list.
Categories can be deleted. The video file’s category belonged to the deleted category will appear as “none” and move into the unknown category.
