Thank you for choosing the KENWOOD transceivers. By utilizing this software,
you can enjoy the versatility of the KENWOOD transceivers through the memory
channel management or edit functions. |

About this software |
|
You can use the MCP-F6/F7 to create data such as memory channels and menus
on a PC by connecting the TH-F6A/F7A/F7E to the PC by using an optional
Programming Cable PG-4Y (RS-232 interface) or KPG-22U (USB 2.0 interface). |

An optional Programming Cable PG-4Y (RS-232 interface), or KPG-22U (USB 2.0
interface). |

Ask your dealer about purchasing the Programming Cables. |

A Virtual COM port driver needs to be installed
onto the PC to use the KPG-22U programming
cable. |

Turn the transceiver OFF before connecting it to a
PC. |

Notes on usage |

Users are required to obtain an approval from JVC KENWOOD Corporation, in
writing, prior to redistributing this software on a personal web page or packet
radio. |

Users are prohibited to assign, rent, lease, or resell the
software. |

Users are prohibited to revise, change, translate, merge, de-compile, or
reverse engineer the software. |

JVC KENWOOD Corporation does not warrant that quality and functions of this
software comply with each user's purpose of use of this software, and unless
specifically described in this document, JVC KENWOOD Corporation shall be free
from any responsibilities to any defects and indemnities to any damages or

Installing the MCP-F6/F7 |
Extract the downloaded file "MFX101.zip" into a designated folder.
In the designated folder, a folder labeled "MFX101" will be created.
Execute the "setup.exe" in the folder labeled "MFX101",
and follow the instructions that appear on the display to install MCP-F6/F7. |
Note:

The MCP-F6/F7 does not operate properly when selecting other models; you
must select the correct model. |
|
If you select a different model by mistake, re-install the MCP-F6/F7. |
|
Administrator privileges are required when installing the MCP-F6/F7. |
|
|
Uninstalling the MCP-F6/F7 |
Select "MCP-F6/F7" in "Uninstall a program" ("Add
or Remove Programs" for Windows® XP) in the Control Panel and follow the instructions that
appear on the display to uninstall the software. Or double-click "setup.exe",
and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the
software. |
Note:
|
Created files using the MCP-F6/F7 are not deleted by uninstalling the software;
you must manually delete any files that you created. |
|
Administrative privileges are required to uninstall the MCP-F6/F7. |
|
Always exit the MCP-F6/F7 before uninstalling the software. |
