The TM-V71A/E, TM-D710A/E transceivers main firmware has been updated from Version 2.11 to Version 2.12 as follows.
We are offering the firmware updating program to the TM-V71A/E, TM-D710A/E owners.
You can update the firmware by connecting the TM-V71A/E or the TM-D710A/E to the PC by using an optional Programming Cable (PG-5G, or PG-5H Serial communications cable).
 The firmware updating program is not applicable for the TM-D710GA/GE. |

Adds ability to activate the APRS (or PACKET) mode and the EchoLink Sysop mode simultaneously (TM-D710A/E).
It enables the TM-D710A/E to operate as an APRS base station or a digipeater even while the TM-D710A/E's EchoLink node is working. For such operation, the TM-D710A/E's Internal Data Band [Menu No.529 (for PACKET), Menu No.601 (for APRS)] and External Data Band [Menu No.517(for EchoLink)] must be set differently. |

They are to set the TM-D710A/E's SmartBeaconing function's parameters. |

Select "Model" and then "Product Information" in the MCP-2A menu after connecting the transceiver with a PC by using the PG-5G or PG-5H PC interface cable. |

In the designated folder, a folder labeled "TM-V71_TM-D710_Main_V212E" will be created. |

In the folder labeled "TM-V71_TM-D710_Main_V212E", the firmware updating program "TM-V71_TM-D710_Main_V212_e.exe" and "TM-V71_TM-D710_Main_e.chm" are automatically created. |
